Activated Carbon Consortium

Purpose

To comply with the REACH regulation it is required to submit to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) extensive technical dossiers about each substance. For many years the Members of ACPA (Activated Carbon Producers Association*) have jointly worked to develop best practices.

Given this, it was decided to form a consortium outside of the ACPA sector group, with the purpose of registering Activated Carbon under REACH as covered by the association's work in the past. Membership in the Activated Carbon Consortium does not grant any rights to data or information owned by ACPA, and will not constitute any membership in ACPA itself.

*ACPA is a Sector Group of Cefic. It is a non-profit organisation representing major producers of activated carbon in Europe.
